RE: W.E. Vlasek, et.al. to address the Commissioners Court concerning Court Order
and notification by Floodplain Administrator of additional fill added to Lot 42-44,
Bumble Bee Hills Subdivision after April 2000, to be removed.
W.E. Vlasek added fill material to Lot 42-44 Bumble Bee Hills Subdivision in 1999 and had
a Development Permit #F99-32 from UGRA. This permit was for placing fill only and was
not a construction permit.
The elevation of the fill placed under permit F99-32 varied from 1732.0 to 1734.7 feet above
mean sea level (M.S.L.).
The Base Flood Elevation, determined by UGRA, is 1735 feet above M.S.L. as shown on
FIRM Map 482656 150E dated 3uly 19, 2000.
The additional fill was added in October, 2003 to raise top of fill to an elevation of 1735.5
lowest adjacent grade (LAG) to 1736 highest adjacent grade (HAG} feet above M.S.L.

My husband, t~2rrren Spector, and I own lots 38 and 39 at Bumble Bee hills. VtTe
plan to band a surzzmer iwme on this property in the near future. Due to obligatians in
Austin, where we currently reside, we give Cathy Fox and her zepresentatives permissicm
to speak to our concern.g on February 23, 2a regarding the matter before the Kerr
County Commissivuers Court, aged item 3..8.
The addition of material tc3 the artificially-created berm across from vur ProP~y
greatly nrorries us. The original nrutial in the berm created flooding issues ~d the
addition cif new dirt and debris can only exacerbate such problems. tJur understanding
u~rhen we purchased lots directly across the road was that the original berm was to have
been removed. 'That this has not been dcne is trt~ubling enough. But novv it appears the
owner of the property feels he can wantonly d~unp excess dirt there whenever the mood
strikes, regardless of its effect an the surrounding ProF~Y• We feel this is inappropriate
and would iilze tti put a stop to such activities.
