The item on the agenda is consideration and discussion of authorization of signature on all documents for employee health insurance. The -- I think the immediate thing before us is an application for stop loss insurance that's been presented from Monumental Life Insurance Company. I see that we've got the Treasurer, who's also our employee benefits officer here with us today. Ms. Nemec, are you satisfied that the -- the application that is before the Court at this time conforms to the -- the proposal that was submitted by E.B.A. and Bryan Finley Insurance, and upon which the award was made? MS. NEMEC: Yes, sir. And I think Tommy investigated that a little bit further and gave us a copy of his response to it, also. JUDGE TINLEY: Okay. MS. NEMEC: I have the original application here. COMMISSIONER LETZ: I make a motion that we authorize the County Judge to sign the application. COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS: Second. JUDGE TINLEY: Motion made and seconded that the Judge -- County Judge be authorized to sign the application for excess loss insurance to Monumental Life Insurance Company as presented and confirmed by the Treasurer. Any further question or discussion? COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS: One question. JUDGE TINLEY: Yes, sir? COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS: Is that the only document that remains unsigned? JUDGE TINLEY: As far as I know, it is. I'm not sure. MS. NEMEC: There'll -- this will probably be followed by a -- a contract that would need to be signed. This is just the application. And I believe maybe, once they receive this, then there will be a contract that will need to be signed. COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS: Do we need to amend the motion to include the subsequent contract? COMMISSIONER LETZ: I amend my motion accordingly. COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS: I'll accept that amendment. JUDGE TINLEY: All right. Any further question or discussion? COMMISSIONER BALDWIN: Comment, Judge. I've seen a lot of things in here that -- that befuddle my mind, but the one today is why the County Attorney is not raving mad that we haven't signed our insurance and why we're not pursuing our insurance program until today. I mean, where's the anger? Where's the outrage? That's all. COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS: I guess we'll have to ask him. JUDGE TINLEY: Anything further? All in favor of the motion, signify by raising your right hand. (The motion carried by unanimous vote.) JUDGE TINLEY: All opposed, same sign. (No response.) JUDGE TINLEY: Motion does carry. Let me make real sure that what I've got here is -- I don't want half of mine mixed up with this, you know, which is what I'm trying to avoid. These are different pages.
