April 28, 2004 The Honorable Pat Tinley Kerr County Juvenile Court Kerr County Courthouse Kerrville, Texas 78028 Dear Judge Tinley: Office (830) 896-2272 Fax (830) 896-2309 hccasa ~ ktc.com Enclosed you will find two copies of the working agreement between Hill Country CASA and your Court. In addition to your Court, this working agreement is also in place with The 216'h District Court, The Child Protection Court of South Texas, The Child Protection Court of the Hi11 Country, Kerr County Court at Law, Kendall County Court at Law and the 198t° District Court. As you will recall, we renew this agreement annually as per our mandate from Texas and National CASA. Please sign and return one copy to us. The other copy is for your records. In early June we will send out our annual program evaluation. This evaluation gives volunteers, attorneys and the judiciary a chance to critique Hill Country CASA's program and give suggestions for improvement. We will keep you apprised of the results once they have been tallied. For your information I am also enclosing a list of our current Board of Directors so that you can remain apprised of the leadership of this organization. Finally, I am enclosing a copy of our 2003 statistics. At the present time Hill Country CASA has 40 active volunteers serving 114 children in 69 cases. Eighty of these children (53 cases) are in TDFPS conservatorship. We are pleased to serve the Courts as needed but the children in state care are always CASA's primary focus. We are mindful of the serious nature of the services our volunteers and staff give to the Courts. We are also grateful for the continued guidance and support of the judiciary. Please do not hesitate contacting me if you have any questions or concerns about Hill Country CASA's program. rs truly, C'~ , Di e L .Oehler Executive Director Hill Country CASA SERVING: KERR, BANDERA, KENDALL, AND G/LLESP/E COUNTIES HCCASA IS A MEMBER OF TEXAS AND NATIONAL CASA ASSOCIATIONS
