In 1991 the construction began on the new Lane Valley bridge and as part of that project a temporary easement was obtained to allow Lane Valley Road residents access during the construction period. As part of building the construction easement, Kerr County permanently modified existing easements to four different properties. These new easements were never prepared and nothing is currently recorded regarding same. Some issues have developed concerning access to some of these properties and I believe it is Kerr County's responsibility to verify where the easements are and prepare and record these instruments.
